About Half Fiction

Founded in 2005, Half Fiction LLC was orginally a social networking consultancy formed to be the holding company for Adholes.com, the largest social network for advertising professionals. In 2006, the founders careers took them in different directions and the project to use the company as a consulting form for the emerging social networking industry was put on hold. The company evolved to focus on it's core website and audience: advertising and marketing professionals - specifically creatives to offer community, information + inspiration. The company plans to offer several new sites to this end in 2008. In 2007, Half Fiction founded The Speckie Awards as its latest major project, inviting spec advertising work to be judged on ideas alone.

The company is headed by Marc Lefton and Jeffrey Riman. Mr. Lefton, Half Fiction's President and Creative Director founded Adholes in November of 2004 and is known as a social media pioneer. In 2006 he joined Escalate (formerly Snap Marketing) full time to be their creative director, using his co-creation and social networking expertise to build experiential campaigns for Fortune 100 Clients. Mr. Riman serves as Half Fiction's co-founder and Chief Operating Officer. In 2006, Mr. Riman's career headed towards education, and he has held adjunct professor posts at CUNY, Parsons and FIT. He has also operated his own print production consulting firm.
